The Cochran City Council will hold a called meeting on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Auditorium located in the Municipal Building at 102 N. Second Street. The Council will consider a study of the consolidation of law enforcement services. The public is invited.

The City of Cochran is soliciting competitive bids for excavation of debris from the entire ditch between E Peacock Street and E Lewis Street. This includes hauling of the debris from the ditch site as well.

Coronavirus Advisory

As you may be aware, late last night (March 2) Governor Brian Kemp and Dr. Kathleen Toomey, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and chair of the governor’s COVID-19 task force, confirmed two cases of the virus in Fulton County.

Cochran City Hall and Police Department Closure

Due to the coronavirus emergency, access to City Hall and the City Police Department shall be restricted to “employees only” effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020 until further notice. Doors to City Hall and the Police Department Lobby will be locked and appropriate payment/service information posted on the door. Citizens are encouraged to work with City staff regarding ongoing issues via telephone and email.
